Ep. 39: How To Use a Prayer Journal

This episode is for anyone who is tired of having “pray more” on their list of goals or resolutions for a new year. We want to offer you a new way to move the needle in this all-important goal. Praying more isn’t simply a good idea for some. It has the power to change everything. It has the power to change our circumstances, our families and mostly, our heart. Those are no small things.

So because of that, we’re going to be a little obvious today about what we think will help you pray more in the new year. 😉

Ep. 40: A Prayer For a New Year

Whether you begin this year with trepidation or excitement, here is a prayer for the journey ahead.

  • Praise God for all the exciting things you are looking forward to.
  • Confess anything in your future that gives you a reason to worry.
  • Remove any shame and instead rejoice in God’s mercy.
  • Share with God your hopes for the new year.

This prayer has been adapted from my book Springboard Prayers. If you were encouraged by it and would like 124 other prayers to read when you don’t have the words, grab a copy at valmariepaper.com.
